Alex,

I have egg all over my face.  On closer inspection it appears your version here is perfectly decent and virtually identical to Dave's .. only your's is in F and his is in E.  The kicker is :  The A and B sections are reversed !!!  Per your section call out, Dave's reads B-A-B  and that's why I drove myself  bats trying to derive the tune playing it bar for bar against Dave's.

In truth the only descernable difference ( other than bits of colour ) is yours uses a maj7 to suspend and slide into the final chord where Dave's uses a straight up sus 4  !!

So .. mystery solved ... and play on dear friend .. ( you might also change some of those Ab's to Abma7's) .. Let us know how it works out for you and don't hesitate to ask for more clumbsy help..

    Your repentant friend,  Chas
