Chord changes for the traditional Appalachian religious song "Down In The Valley To Pray". A wonderful version of this is sung by Doc Watson on the album The Essential Doc Watson recorded by Vanguard Records.

For dramatic reasons in the film O Brother Where Art Thou (a congregation appears out of nowhere in the woods to conduct full immersion baptism in a river while singing this tune) the song was retitled "Down In The River To Pray".
