I used the SongTrellis Music editor to compose a new composition while I was camping with my sons at Camp Parsons in Western Washington last week. I'd guess that there are not many pieces of music extant that were composed on a dusty picnic table with a laptop computer with no external synthesizer attached while Boy Scouts looked over the composer's shoulder.

The new piece is called Straighten Crooked Ways. It's uses minor harmony in an interesting way, and has a unique bass and rhythm accompaniment.
