The old timers i worked with actually used this on the first two measures:

Eflatm,/,D7(!),Dflat7,,c-5,F-9,b-5(under the Bflat and Aflat!),E,,Eflatm....

I always thought the close before the bridge and at the end should be:

C7-5, F7, B7, E7-5,,Eflatm.....This echoes the four beat progression earlier in the piece, usually B,E,Bflat,Eflat,, before the aminor.

Just a thought.
