I feel like Rip Van Winkle. Played drums professionaly from age 12 to 70. I gotta admit thatis thousands of gigs and millions of time playing Jingle Bells etc.

Amazingly, last week I heard this great tune for what is the unbelievable first time! One of our local stations played the Guaraldi cut and then followed with the Rosie Clooney version. I was overwhelmed with the beauty and childlike simplicity of the tune. Got on Google to investigate and subsequently found all the info available.  Even my daughter had the Video of the Charlie Brown Xmas and the CD. I made a tape at once to have in my possession. Now, once again thanks to the great Trellis I have the chords and can begin to mold my own variations at the keyboard. You are just great and thank you for all your benefits.

I just can't imagine how that tune has had such a sudden impact on me , a supposed hip jazz drummer, and how it has escaped me these 39 or so years. I am wondering just how it stacks up in the opinions of jazz keyboarders as a tune . Novelty? Seasonal? on a par with Christmas Song? it really has hit me. And Rosie's version almost had me in tears. Ah, the charms of music!

Thank you so very much and Happy New Year.
