Hi David,

I'm new to SongTrellis, and just joined to be able to tell you ... where in the world did you get CARLOS Velasquez? The composer of this classic 'bolero' ('beguine' in English) is Mexican, and HER name is CONSUELO Velasquez. Born in Guadalajara, 1924. Famous covers of the song are by: Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Elvis Presley, and The Beatles. Other titles by the composer include "Franqueza" and "No Volvere"

Lorena
