The original "hit" version of this song was sung by Herb Albert  of the Tijuana Brass ("This Guy's in Love with You", ) around 1970 or 71.  It had that Austin Powers Easy Listening feel to it.  Dionne's version was more soulful.  She couldn't help it, she had it.  Check out Herb's recording & the chords there.
