Following 'Wrap Around' I would like to introduce the link between chromatic and pentatonic harmonic movement. In 'Descent' I have illustrated how chromatic descents in the right hand, accompanied by normal 5th movements in the bass can achieve some odd results. Example 1. The chords are C9 - F7+ - Bb9 - Eb7+ etc. Example 2. " " " C13 - F7#11 - Bb13 - Eb7#11 etc. Note how the two types of chords alternate. There are several more combinations whch could be used. I have posted a gif file, which will hopefully assist in the understanding of these progressions, which may be useful for pianists and guitarists to minimise movement.
