Where are the women ?  Why do I see no women checking onto the site ?

My last wife banged out hours of Motzart, Bartok and Hanon on the piano before breakfast.  Motzart is a bore but I still loved her and her love for music.

Our best friend's first name was Patricia.  She was concert trained but tackled anything and had mucked with the E. Power Biggs crowd in music school..  Her ex is ( or was)  the curator of harpsichords for the Smithsonian.  Pat didn't earn these connections by being a charming duffer,  she was a woman who knew her stuff, staffs and signatures and I suspect she would have gotten a kick out of the site.

This topic is no small potatoes and I'd like to hear more from music people who just happen to be women.

I mind a small neat likur store on Fri and Sat nites for my sister who manages the place.   I do this as a favor and though I don't drink any of the merchandise,  I do use downtime to practice guitar and sketch out arrangements.

I'm almost always playing when a customer comes through the door and increasingly,  I find myself playing to women who are enthusiastic new players themselves and want to learn more..... so c'mon guys,  send your talented women friends to the trellis.

I'm eager to hear what the more coniving sex can produce when let loose in the field of jazz and other forms of romantic music.  Can't wait.

On reviewing this submission to ' Discussions',    I expect death threats from both sexes but since I find no historical evidence to suggest any true musicians have ever wasted time practicing the art of murder,  I feel safe in posting.

....but no,..I won't tell you where I live...just in case...   Chas..
