Would like to hear comments of the music of the late Duke Pearson.Duke was my uncle, who died in 1980 in the prime of his life from M.S.He left so many memories and music that i cherish.Altough im not a musicain myself most of my family members are.One of my favorite albums of his is titled How Insensitive With Flora Purim on vocals. He was the first,to ever record her and to have her sing on stage with him for the first time.He also wrote and recorded Idle Moments for Grant Green on the Bluenote Label. As well as writing and producing for blue note.Duke was also the A and R man for that record label, where he came in contact with some of the giants in jazz.I am still amazied,at all he did bacck then. And i still have not uncovered all that he accomplished yet.We his family miss him dearly. But his music will live in our hearts forever. So,those of you that has any of his recording, let me know what you think !
