These are the chord changes for Wayne Shorter's Limbo, an unusual 9-bar form. The tune, which predominantly uses 4/4 meter, uses 2/4 in the fifth bar which throws the tune into an oppposite accentuation pattern. The seventh bar uses a series of five chords in a wild pattern that somehow turns the accentuation back to the original scheme. Together with its melody and restless harmony, the tune by its very structure presents the image of being trapped between two worlds.

This was first played on Miles Davis' album The Sorcerer.
