Hi everyone, and welcome to my new web site. First and foremost may I thank David Luebbert for his knowledge and expertise which has made it possible to launch this venture, and who is co-editing the site.
I hope to offer a special service to instrumentalists and singers, in
providing Backing Tracks for them to practice with. This is of course not a new idea, but I believe I can offer something a little different, by supplying custom BTs constructed to order, as well as a small library of standard tracks.
In addition I will be posting various original musical items from time to time and inviting discussions on these and any other musical matters. I will be only too pleased to assist fellow musicians with advice, providing of course that it is within my capacity to do so..
For those folk who don't know me, I am a semi-retired professional keyboard player, and I can call on over 50 years of earning a livelyhood in the music business, and my experience covers just about every aspect of the profession. I hope I can share some know-how with you.
The area in which I will work is fairly clearly defined: I cannot include pop, avant guarde or classical - I am mainly interested in what may be called the best of the mainstream - the samples I hope to post shortly will, I hope, illustrate this.
Lastly I would welcome any comments and suggestions - please get in touch in exactly the same way as Song Trellis.
I shall look forward meeting old friends and making new ones.
Fraternally,
Bernard Chinn.

I have now completed posting previews of the first selection of Backing Tracks which will be available to members shortly. Full details of charges, which will be kept to a minimum, will be announced, together with payment details. These latter matters will be in the capable hands of David Luebbert. This original selection contains approximately 75 numbers, and regular additions will be made. I would like to mention that these backing tracks contain no melody, making it possible for instrumentalists and singers to practice without distraction. They are also individually written and recorded, and as such are unique. As previously mentioned, custom backing tracks can usually be constructed to order, within the limits of my ability. Please indicate the title, key, and any relevent details. I will respond, usually by return, with a quote and delivery time. Please let me have your Email address, so that I can make personal contact.
Finally, if there are any queries about the foregoing please post these on this site. I promise they will receive immediate attention.
Bernard
